Author and Harvard Business School Professor to Open the 2019 Positive Impact Summit

Dr. George Serafeim has been confirmed as the keynote speaker at the 2019 Palladium Positive Impact Summit: Impact at Scale, taking place in New York City in June.

Dr. Serafeim is a celebrated author and Harvard Business School professor whose MBA course, “Reimagining Capitalism”, has won multiple awards. He’s written over 100 articles and business cases and presented his work in over 60 countries around the world, most recently at the World Economic Forum in Davos.

He will open the Summit with a keynote speech on the business and investment opportunities created by pursuing the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals. Private business and capital are critical to addressing poverty, inequality, and climate change, and many companies have made public commitments to positive social impact. But how many have been able to deliver, and why is it so difficult to move beyond the pilot phase to achieve real, lasting impact at scale?

"In the transition to the impact economy, it is critical to accelerate the practice of considering social and environmental factors alongside financial performance in corporate management and investment decision-making," he argues.

Dr. Serafeim's most recent HBR article, "Yes, Sustainability Can Be A Strategy", is now available at HBR.org. This follows last year's publication, "Inclusive Growth: Profitable Strategies for Tackling Poverty and Inequality", which he co-authored with Dr. Robert Kaplan and Palladium's Eduardo Tugendhat.

The agenda has been announced for the Palladium Positive Impact Summit and tickets are selling quickly. Register now to join Dr. George Serafeim and a host of experts on June 25th in New York City as they share tools, approaches, and case studies that truly move the needle toward sustainable and inclusive growth.
