Climate and Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI) Expert/s

The Australia Pacific Climate Partnership (the Climate Partnership) is a $75 million investment over four years (2018-2022), funded by the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT). It aims to increase the effectiveness of Australia’s support for climate change action and disaster resilience in the Pacific. The Climate Partnership Support Unit manages an Expert Panel to support these activities by providing specialist skills in priority sectors, including GESI, energy, infrastructure, health, education, water and food security.

Palladium, on behalf of DFAT, are seeking tenders from providers to undertake short-term analytical and advisory services to integrate gender and socially inclusive approaches to climate and disaster action within Australia’s aid investments in the Pacific.

Applicants will be required to demonstrate the following:

  • Internationally recognised expertise in gender equality and social inclusion;
  • Proven capability and experience in working on GESI issues within climate change adaptation and disaster risk reduction projects;
  • Demonstrated capability in the integration of both GESI and climate and disaster resilience in all stages of aid program implementation, including design and reviews;
  • Demonstrated experience in designing and/or delivering training on GESI integration within climate change and disaster resilience work;
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of DFAT aid policies and strategies, and other relevant Australian Government policies.
