The program rationale is to strengthen Callan Services National Unit's capabilities at both the structural/organisational level (in the form of procedural improvements, templates, ways of working, including the use of technology, knowledge management, and business efficiency etc) and the personal level (through training and individual mentoring of key individuals). There is also an inter-personal element as a result of most or all people on the project participating in the same customised program. The program will introduce a new baseline of knowledge, and common language, concepts, and values that can be adopted by all employees. The desired outcome is improved performance and accountability to the donor.
