Susie Lazarz (formerly Shuford) is a qualified climate finance expert with over 15 years interdisciplinary experience advising national government entities, development banks, and commercial finance institutions in developing countries on strategic frameworks for improved access, management and deployment of climate finance. She has worked with a wide range of financial sector actors in over 35 countries. Her work has mainly involved advising on the setup of public-private funds and facilities, enabling regulatory and policy frameworks, and delivering capacity assessments and technical assistance trainings. She served as one of the lead Climate Finance Readiness Experts for the Green Climate Fund (GCF) and Adaptation Fund. Prior to joining Palladium, she served as Manager and Senior Expert at the Frankfurt School – UNEP Collaborating Centre for Climate and Sustainable Energy Finance, and Research Analyst at the World Bank and Deutsche Bank Asset Management.
