Design and delivery of Hospitality Training for the Workforce Development Program Timor-Leste (WDPTL)
Palladium is seeking the services of a suitably qualified and experienced international training provider to support the upgrading of TVET hospitality trainers and training in Timor-Leste.
Timor-Leste is currently transforming the vocational training sector from a predominantly non-formal system to a regulated, formal Technical and Vocational, Education and Training (TVET) system. The Skills Development and Employment (SDE) component of the program is an investment in Timor-Leste’s vocational training and employment. It aims to support youth to have access to quality skills development, primarily in the tourism and hospitality sector; and for youth, workers and unemployed to have improved employability in Timor-Leste and overseas.
As part of the SDE component, the Program is supporting the Timor-Leste National Institute for Labour Force Development (INDMO) and the Secretariat of State for Vocational Training and Employment Policy (SEPFOPE) to improve the quality and relevance of hospitality training delivery and assessment in Timor-Leste. The Government of Timor-Leste (GoTL) has specifically identified the need to upgrade the qualifications of 10-20 TVET trainers to the equivalent of a Timor-Leste National Qualifications Framework (TLNQF) Diploma I level in 2017. These trainers will be registered to deliver TLNQF recognised training courses at Certificate I to III levels in their area of expertise. In particular the trainers will pilot the delivery in 2018 of two new Certificate III courses - in Accommodation Services and in Food and Beverage Services.
The WDPTL is therefore seeking the services of a suitably qualified and experienced international training provider to support the upgrading of TVET hospitality trainers and training in Timor-Leste.
