RFP - Palladium Public Relations

Palladium is a global impact firm, working to link social progress with commercial growth. For the past 50 years, we’ve been helping our clients to see the world as interconnected – by formulating strategies, building partnerships, and implementing programs that have a lasting social, environmental and financial impact. Since the launch of the Palladium brand in 2015, we have been evolving our value proposition and how we use our external channels to drive business growth and shape the perceptions of our audiences.

Nearly three years on, we have taken a fresh look at our marketing priorities and how our internal structure can drive the business forward. At this crucial juncture, it is essential we reconsider the role public relations and public affairs can play in achieving our business goals.

We’re looking for a specialist agency that can provide strategic, proactive, and relentless PR support to our marketing team in all of our key markets. Our fundamental PR goals are threefold:

  • to elevate Palladium’s brand recognition and thought leadership through regular presence in respected, credible publications;
  • to enhance our strategic positioning for priority business opportunities;
  • to provide support to regional marketing leads.

Palladium’s public relations context
Before Palladium’s rebrand in 2015, corporate PR was underutilised. Since the rebrand, Palladium has invested in external PR support, and have identified three primary challenges:

  • Understanding Palladium as a client (strategic direction and internal idiosyncrasies)
  • Proactivity (identifying opportunities, facilitating and driving activity)
  • Global reach (responding to international business needs)

We require a partner that drives us, that challenges our assumptions, that thinks strategically, and that is able to skilfully manage the PR process.

Scope of Work
The consultant/agency will provide complementary support in three areas:

1. GLOBAL BRAND BUILDING & THOUGHT LEADERSHIP

  • Establish short/medium/long-term PR priorities in relation to business and marketing strategies
  • Rolling calendar of strategic activity
  • Identification of and placement in/at priority publications/events
  • Reactive PR positioning
  • Tailored support for Palladium Impact Investments function
  • Measurement/reporting tool to track activity

2. BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT SUPPORT

  • PR ‘plan in a box’ for activation around specific and priority business opportunities
  • Develop deep understanding of Palladium’s value proposition and sector diversity
  • Measurement/reporting tool to track activity

3. REGIONAL MARKETING SUPPORT – AMERICAS, EMEA, APAC

  • Request-based service for regional marketing leads in three Palladium regional partnerships
  • Likely to include placing stories and managing press responses
  • Measurement/reporting tool to track activity

Duration
Monthly retainer contract – 6 month pilot.

Submissions Requirements
All proposals must be submitted to communications@thepalladiumgroup.com by 31 MAY 2018. Proposals must include:

  • Technical Proposal detailing planned approach to the scope of work, outlining performance management commitment, and demonstrating track record of achievement.
  • Financial proposal providing an itemised breakdown of costs against each phase of work. (include option for component 3 – REGIONAL MARKETING SUPPORT – to be independently invoiced)
