Supporting development of sustainable training service on tertiary irrigation for BUMDes and Village Staffs
The Australia-Indonesia Partnership for Rural Economic Development (AIP-Rural) is a suite of programs implemented by Palladium on behalf of the Government of Indonesia and the Government of Australia. The program aims to achieve a 30%, or more, increase in net incomes for 300,000 smallholder farming households by December 2018. Tertiary Irrigation Technical Assistance (TIRTA) is one of four sections of the AIP-Rural program. It aims to improve smallholder farmers’ access to irrigation. It supports the creation of tertiary irrigation schemes that are managed by HIPPA (Farmers Water User Associations) and local investors (lead farmers or local investors). The program’s goal is to increase the net income of 7,579 farmers by 60% through improvements to the efficiency, technical and economic viability of at least 35 tertiary irrigation projects.
TIRTA is looking to engage a consultant/consulting firm to support the Ministry of Villages training centers to develop a training module on “establishment and management of tertiary irrigation business”. This will include developing a training of trainers (ToT) curriculum, a ToT workshop, and evaluate the trainers’ capacity and capability to deliver training courses to BUMDes and village staff. TIRTA is looking for experienced consultants to achieve these objectives.

- Must have the management capacity to undertake the services in the time required
- Must provide the technical consultants with relevant irrigation experience to undertake the services within the timeline
