Project Overview and Role
We are looking for an eager, entry-level professional ready to dive into the challenge of managing donor-funded international development projects. If you love the idea of doing meaningful work that achieves positive impact around the globe, and have the drive to get things done, this could be the right role for you!
As an operations associate, you will have the opportunity to learn all aspects of the project lifecycle. From start-up to closeout, you will become an expert in budgeting, subcontractor and consultant relationship management, human resources support, and ensuring compliance with both internal and client rules and regulations. Mastering these elements does involve administrative work as you learn to connect the impact of each daily task to the broader goals of our projects - so expect to help with travel reservations, expense reports, drafting subcontracts, liaising with vendors, and reviewing complex invoices.
We're looking for applicants skilled at customer service, writing, communications, and building positive working relationships, who see this as a great opportunity to launch their international development career. Successful operations team members are passionate about finding creative solutions and using critical thinking to solve project implementation challenges.
Our team supports a variety of projects in health, economic growth, governance, and data analytics in Africa, Asia, Europe, and Latin America, and the selected candidate could be assigned to any program in our portfolio. And we're always excited to see candidates with French or Spanish language skills, though no set amount of experience or education is required. If you're interested, we look forward to reviewing your application.
