Climate Change Education/Skills Sector Expert/s

The Australia Pacific Climate Partnership (the Climate Partnership) is a $75 million investment over four years (2018-2022), funded by the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT). It aims to increase the effectiveness of Australia’s support for climate change action and disaster resilience in the Pacific. The Support Unit manages a range of expert panels to support these activities by providing specialist skills in priority sectors, including security, infrastructure, health, education, food and water security.

Palladium, on behalf of the DFAT, is seeking tenders from education and skills sector experts to provide specialist advisory services to the Climate Partnership Support Unit. Individuals and organisations are invited to tender. Extensive experience in the Pacific region is essential.

Applicants will be required to demonstrate the following:

  • At least 15 years’ experience in skills development/TVET/education sector in the Pacific;
  • Proven understanding of climate change and disaster risk reduction in the Pacific context;
  • Strong research skills and a proven ability to synthesise existing knowledge from a range of sources to draw conclusions and make actionable recommendations to decision makers;
  • Extensive experience and knowledge of Pacific island countries and the Pacific region;
  • Existing experience and relationships with, or ability to network successfully with education and training institutions in the Australia-Pacific region would be an advantage.
