Development of an E-commerce Service Hub - Egypt

USAID TRADE is seeking to engage a qualified, legally registered Egyptian Trade Support Institutions (TSIs) to host an “Ecommerce Hub” to further advance the objectives of the USAID Trade Reform and Development in Egypt (TRADE) Project implemented by Palladium.

The objective of this hub is to provide ecommerce-related information to Egyptian companies who want to expand their business through ecommerce. The project expects that the Hub will include, at minimum, information and data about:

  • Key ecommerce actors, internationally, regionally and in Egypt, such as: general marketplaces, sectoral marketplaces, logistics providers, payments providers, market analytics etc.
  • Ecommerce diagnostic tool for SMEs to assess their ecommerce capabilities and readiness and to help match them up with ecommerce service providers and consultants and different national and international marketplaces.
  • Ecommerce legal and regulatory landscape.
  • Ecommerce e-learning modules.
  • Best international practices in ecommerce export promotion, including from successful efforts and new models tested in countries such as Mexico, Peru, Korea, and the UK.
