Digital Transformation Business Program on Ecommerce for 100 MSMEs in the Metal Mechanics Sector of El Salvador

USAID's Economic Competitiveness Project (ECP) seeks to increase the competitiveness of El Salvador's key economic sectors by strengthening the capacity of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) to compete in domestic and export markets, and improve the national and subnational business environment, fostering private sector investment, innovation and business expansion to promote economic growth and job creation, and prevent the migration of Salvadorans. The USAID’s Economic Competitiveness Project, implemented by Palladium International LLC, is scheduled to develop a Business Program on digital transformation with a focus on ecommerce to 100 MSMEs in the Metal Mechanics Sector of El Salvador to contribute to improve the competitiveness of selected MSMEs through awareness, development and implementation of digital transformation in their companies, through training and technical assistance in digital innovation processes in the identified areas of opportunity for improvement so that they define a critical path and begin their path to digitization.

The required profile of the company is as follows:

  • National or international company legally established.
  • Company with 3 years of experience in the development of technological solutions and implementation of digital channels for SMEs preferably in the metal mechanics sector.
  • With experience working with verifiable international cooperation.
  • With at least 5 years of experience and trajectory in education and training for MSMEs in the metal mechanics sector.
  • Must have a digital infrastructure that allows it to execute actions, training and follow up on the progress of the project milestones through monitoring.
  • Must have a multidisciplinary team in areas of digital development oriented towards business, finance and market management. Companies must include Spanish-speaking personnel in their proposals.
  • With proven experience in serving companies in the metal mechanics sector in the volume requested by the project.
