Support the MBHTE to Strengthen Community /Local Support Mechanisms to support K-3 Learning Improvement through Adaptive Learning Modality (ALM)

Education Pathways to Peace in Mindanao (Pathways) is a Philippines-Australia partnership supporting quality inclusive kindergarten to grade 3 education for all children in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).

The program focuses on early years education as the foundation for life-long learning and development. By engaging and collaborating with a wide range of education stakeholders, promoting peace through education reform, and addressing inequity and disparity in education delivery, the program also contributes to peacebuilding in the region.

Delivered through the Bangsamoro Ministry of Basic, Higher and Technical Education, activities are directed towards strengthening education policies and institutions, ensuring accessible and Inclusive Education for all children, providing an integrated education system and curriculum, and improving teacher quality and development.

The Services Required
This tender aims to support the MBHTE at the central office, division and school levels to:

  • 1. Generate knowledge and understanding of the K-3 learning challenges in the Bangsamoro and mobilize different education stakeholders at the schools, division and regional levels to push for K-3 reforms
  • 2. Organize and implement school-based community learning programs for parents, community members/volunteers, learning facilitators and others in identified public elementary schools, madaris and AKAP learning centers to support strengthening of K-3 learners’ foundational skills on literacy and numeracy
  • 3. Support the identified model schools, divisions, people’s organizations, civil society and academe engage regional bodies, local government units, school boards, private and business sectors and other engagement platforms for planning and resourcing for K-3 learning
