Atento is a division of Grupo Telefónica, with headquarters in Madrid, and presence in 13 countries. It is the fourth largest company in the global market for Customer Services. They currently have 107,721 employees. In 2006, the Customer Services sector continued to experience fragmentation, enabling Grupo Atento to improve their market position and to gain on the sector’s world leaders. During 2006, the income for Grupo Atento was 1,030 million euros, which increased for the third consecutive year, reaffirming its entry into the Spanish and Portuguese-speaking markets, and its increased presence in Morocco. Grupo Atento introduced the BSC in 2003.
