(BTMU) is the world’s largest private financial institution in asset size and fifth largest in terms of market capitalization (JPY 18.0 trillion as of the end of March 2006), created by the merger between the Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi (BTM) and the UFJ Bank in January 2006.
