Headquartered in Argentina, Profertil manufactures, markets, and distributes fertilizers. It is a joint venture between one of the world’s 10 largest oil companies, YPF-REPSOL, and Agrium Fertilizers, a leading firm in the industry. Profertil’s main product is granular urea, one of the two main sources of nutrients used in agricultural activity. Profertil employs 250 direct and around 500 indirect employees, and has an annual turnover of around $300 million.
