Clint Cavanaugh Joins Palladium as New Senior Director for Global Health Security

Palladium is pleased to announce the appointment of Clint Cavanaugh, MD, MPH, to lead the company’s strategic efforts in global health security. Dr Cavanaugh brings nearly 20 years’ experience in HIV/AIDS, including 15 years as a leader at the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), where he most recently served as the Global Health Director of the Office of HIV/AIDS.

He brings a great depth of expertise in global strategic leadership, along with experience as a clinician, and program leadership roles in Haiti and South Africa. Dr Cavanaugh will be a critical asset to Palladium as we design, develop, and deliver programs that have a positive impact on the lives and livelihoods of people around the globe.

In his role at Palladium, Dr. Cavanaugh will lead and expand the company’s global and regional health security portfolio, build innovative partnerships, and provide strategic leadership of global and regional efforts at the nexus of human, animal, and environmental health; agriculture; security; foreign affairs; and health financing.

As Global Director for Office of HIV/AIDS, Dr Cavanaugh oversaw a US$3.6 billion annual budget and guided and supported 50 USAID Missions to implement an ambitious plan for sustained epidemic control of HIV/AIDS by 2030. In his role there, he coordinated closely with the State Department, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the Department of Defense, Peace Corps and other government agencies implementing PEPFAR. He holds a Doctor of Medicine from St. Georges University School of Medicine and a Master of Public Health, University of California at Los Angeles.
