This Perception Assessment seeks to engage a qualified Indonesian consulting firm or organisation to undertake a communication and perception assessment of Sustainable Forest Management (SFM), the Sistem Verifikasi Legalitas dan Kelestarian (SVLK), and Indonesian forest products for the period January 2023 to June 2026. The assignment aims to establish an evidence-based understanding of how these topics are communicated and perceived by domestic and international audiences, identify the factors that strengthen or undermine trust and market recognition, and assess whether existing communications address stakeholder concerns and information needs. The scope of work includes reviewing communication strategies and materials, analysing media coverage and public discourse, assessing audience perceptions and trust drivers, benchmarking against relevant international initiatives, reviewing communication coordination mechanisms, and consulting with key government, industry, civil society, and market stakeholders.
Findings will inform practical recommendations to strengthen future communication and stakeholder engagement efforts related to Indonesia’s sustainable forestry sector.
The assignment is expected to be delivered over approximately 12-16 weeks with a budget of GBP 23,000. Proposals must be submitted by 30 September 2026.
