This ITT aims to obtain competitive supplier quotations for the installation of perimeter fencing along with solar security integrated lights with poles for the Manus Training Centre, enabling SWLT to select a contractor and progress timely, secure site establishment in line with approved designs and budget.
Description
The following materials have already been procured and will be delivered to MTC ahead of the installation schedule:
730m High Palisade Fencing (2400mm High)
Palisade Purling Double Post @3000mm Centres - Top & Bottom
Palisade Purlin Double Post @3000mm Centres - Top & Bottom
Top & Bottom Standard Chanel Rails 80 x 50 x2.5mm
Stainless Steel Fixtures - Gates
• 7 × High Single Palisade Swing Gates, 1.10m wide × 2350mm high
• 6 × High Double Palisade Swing Gates, 3.35m wide each (6.7m opening)
• All associated accessories required for installation
Security Lighting
• 55 × Solar integrated-powered security lights with 6-meter prefabricated poles.
• Lighting poles and associated mounting hardware
• All accessories required for installation and commissioning
• Note the drawing shows 57 x Solar Lights to be installed, however, omit 2 No. redundant solar light poles at pedestrian gates. Refer IFC drawings) only 55 to be installed.
Procurement of associated concrete works including steel reinforcements to be done by the Contractor. Contractor to manage procure the cements reinforcement rod with accessories considering the risks associated with procurement, handling, and storage.
Concrete works to include;
• Solar light pole pedestals
• Fence post pedestals
• Anti-dig plinths.
The contractor will be responsible for the installation of the above materials at MTC. The works will include:
• Reviewing the approved design, site scoping information and installation requirements prior to commencing works.
• Providing all labour, tools, plant, equipment and supervision required to complete the work.
• Setting out the fence line and preparing post and lighting pole locations in accordance with the approved design and site conditions.
• undertake the demolition, removal, and disposal of the existing fencing infrastructure and make good the site as necessary to ensure the area is clear, safe, and ready for the installation of the new fence.
• Excavating and constructing post footings and foundations for fencing and lighting poles as required.
• Installing palisade fence posts, rails, pales, gates and associated components in accordance with manufacturer specifications and applicable standards.
• Installing 55 solar-powered security lights, including poles, mounting brackets, solar panels, batteries and associated fittings.
• Positioning and aligning security lighting to provide effective perimeter illumination and security coverage.
• Testing and commissioning all gates, fencing components and solar lighting systems to ensure correct operation.
• Ensuring all fencing and lighting installations are secure, level, properly aligned and structurally sound.
• Reinstating disturbed ground surfaces and repairing any areas affected by the installation works.
• Removing all installation-related waste and debris from site.
• Conducting a final inspection and rectifying any defects identified prior to handover.
• Providing operation, maintenance and warranty documentation for installation works where applicable.
