Investors often find that there is a lack of demonstrable track records by asset managers with scalable, real impact investment approaches. Consequently, building a forward pipeline of relevant asset managers is a challenge for investors. This panel of specialist asset managers will explore and demonstrate how their strategies offer portfolio fit solutions.

This panel will be hosted by Palladium’s Martin Belcher.

Martin is the programme director for the FMO programme ‘Mobilising Finance for Forests’ Learning, Convening, and Influencing Platform’. The platform aims to increase the scale, in terms of size and impact, of investments in forests, sustainable land use (FSLU) and nature. The LCIP seeks to do this by;

  • Gathering lessons from the different types of business and investment models tested and invested in by the FMO blended finance facility programme Mobilising Finance for Forests • Convening investors, project developers and companies, and stakeholders working to improve the enabling conditions within the forestry landscape via catalytic learning events and Communities of Practice (CoPs)
  • Influencing investors (and others) through the dissemination of compelling knowledge products and tools such as proven MFF blueprints, case studies, research and learning briefs.

Within Palladium, Martin also holds the title of Director of Impact in the Climate, Environment and Natural Resources team, working within the company’s business development sector and supporting a wide range of programmes seeking to mobilise investment into climate adaptation and mitigation, with a focus on understanding, assessing and reporting impact. He also previously held the role within Partnerships for Forests, a Palladium-led UK government-funded programme that delivered the world’s largest business incubator active across the tropical forests belt from 2016-2024.
