Araí Monteforte leads our energy practice to accelerate investments and deployment of modern, reliable, and affordable energy systems worldwide. As a member of the Americas leadership team, she combines Palladium’s and the GISI Consulting Group’s expertise in infrastructure, engineering, and sustainability to drive meaningful impact at scale.

With two decades of leadership experience, Araí has directed multi-country initiatives across Latin America, Africa, and Asia, mobilizing investment, advancing institutional reforms, and supporting regional integration. Her career has centered on scaling energy investments, modernizing energy systems and strengthening institutions to drive long-term growth, improve sector performance, and create opportunities for public–private collaboration.

Araí holds an MA in International Economics & Energy Policy from Johns Hopkins SAIS, as well as MS and BS degrees in Engineering and Computer Science from the University of Arizona. She is fluent in English, Spanish, and French, and has professional experience in more than 40 countries.
