Jabu is a global health expert and physician with more than 30 years of diverse experience in clinical health care, managing and advising on complex, multi-component and multi-country health and poverty alleviation programs in sub-Saharan Africa and globally.
He has been with Palladium since 2007 and has served as Country Manager in Zimbabwe, Regional Manager in Southern and East Africa, Palladium’s Health Practice Director in UKEA. During this period, Jabu successfully led business development, delivery and thought leadership with oversight on a project portfolio in excess of £300 million. He is currently the Project Director on four flagship FCDO programmes in health systems strengthening and health security. Jabu has been Team Leader and/or Project Director on more than a dozen large multisector development Palladium projects in his home country Zimbabwe, South Africa, Swaziland, Zambia, Kenya, Tanzania, Nigeria, Ghana and Pakistan.
Jabu’s passion is to help build nationally-led and resilient health systems in Africa that will contribute to improving universal health coverage and health outcomes especially among women and children and poor and marginalized communities. Dr Nyenwa holds an MD and MPH from the University of Zimbabwe and MBA from Nottingham Trent University.
